Fab Photo Friday: Let’s Dive Cozumel!

Diving in Cozumel is always a wonderful experience. For the most part it is relaxing (unless there is a very strong current), always colorful, and there are plenty of animals to look at, especially small macro animals. I was so excited to have my cousin diving with me on this trip as well. Now that Randy is not diving due to his double lung transplant 2 and 1/2 years ago, I am always looking for a buddy! We had a terrific time, come and see!

A beautiful French Angelfish on Santa Rosa Shallows
Tiny tiny Sharp Nosed Puffer in Barrel Sponge
Scorpionfish hiding
I believe this is a Banded Jawfish…it was about 6 to 8 inches long.
I’m not sure what kind of crab this is….perhaps a baby Channel Crab?
The Splendid Toadfish…you will only find it in Cozumel!
Scrawled cowfish…almost looks like a water color!
I love Damselfish…they are so territorial! This little one just came out and said, hey, this place is MINE.
A Dog Snapper on Punta Tunich
Chubs!
My cousin, Lisa!

On the wreck in Cozumel
Lisa and her friend!
Not sure what the name is, but I think it is beautiful! These are jellies, siphonores, hydramedusas, or ctenophores.
Yellow stingray
There were a million brittlestars all over the wreck…isn’t this sponge gorgeous?
The wreck is covered in sponge!
An eel garden! These are Brown Garden Eels.
The prop of the boat
Encrustation on the wreck
Just beautiful.
