YOGI BEAR’S JELLYSTONE PARK IN TYLER HAS NEW WATER ATTRACTIONS!

The award-winning campground just opened a mega water zone with water slides, a restaurant, and other attractions. New RV sites and rental cabins for large groups to open in the coming weeks.

TYLER, Texas — Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Tyler, Texas keeps getting better.

           The award-winning, Jellystone Park location just opened an expanded 130,000-gallon, mega water zone, which features a multilevel play structure with water slides and interactive play features, a family pool, and a family spa tub. A new restaurant, called the Campfire Canteen, also just opened next to the pool area and features hamburgers, chicken, pizza, ice cream, and snacks.

  “We are really becoming a vacation destination for families throughout northeast Texas,” said Kyle Mohler, general manager of the park, which is roughly halfway between Dallas and Shreveport, La.

           Other new amenities at the park include a new arts and crafts building and a gem mining sluice, while a new playground is expected to open later this summer. These new amenities complement many existing attractions, including a miniature golf course, laser tag, a jumping pillow, a fishing pond, a maze, and several sports courts.
           The park is also installing new premium RV sites and a variety of rental accommodations that are perfect for large groups. “We are getting more and more families that want to camp with their extended families and friends, so we are installing more RV sites as well as new and larger rental units to accommodate them,” Mohler said.

           When the new units open later this summer, they will include Oak Trail Cabins, which sleep up to nine people, and a Three Bears Lodge, which will sleep up to 16 people. The park’s existing Ranger Retreat can sleep up to 15 while its Boo Boo Bunkhouse sleeps up to 20. The park also has furnished cabins that sleep anywhere from four to eight people.

           Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Tyler, Texas received the highest award in the Jellystone Park franchise network for its exceptional facilities and operations in 2018 as well as a “Park of the Year Award” from the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) in 2019. The statewide award is based on consumer reviews, levels of employee training, accreditations and certifications, as well as involvement in the community and with TACO.

           Once the new RV sites and rental accommodations are completed, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Tyler, Texas will have 190 RV sites and 113 cabins.
           Jellystone Park locations are famous for providing fun, family activities and themed weekends that include everything from crafts and games to wagon rides and regular appearances by Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Cindy Bear, and Ranger Smith. The Tyler, Texas location offers a variety of themed weekend activities, including Christmas in July, which includes visits by Santa, golf cart decorating and a parade.
