Santa’s Enchanted Forest

This is the perfect option if you travel with your kids. Regularly known as “Tropical Park” and considered world’s Largest Holiday Theme Park, this site becomes one of the biggest Christmas pulls in Miami for children of all ages. It is open from November 1st to January 6th with more than 100 rides, shows, games and attractions. But not only children can enjoy the site; featuring light shows, Christmas theme karaoke, spectacular holiday displays, and the tallest X-mas tree in South Florida, the park is also the perfect scenario for the grownups to celebrate this magical season. Miami for Christmas is awesome!

Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker

This is a classic opera-ballet organized by the Miami City Ballet that nobody should even think of missing during Christmas and Miami has it for you. You will be delighted by a stunning performance where the ballet dancers are dressed like soldiers and colorful characters and dance to the Tchaikovsky music performed by a live orchestra transporting you to a dazzling winter wonderland!  This new production of George Balanchine’s is the perfect live show for the whole family to enjoy!

Christmas tree lighting ceremony – Miami City Hall

The Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the Miami City Hall is considered the most iconic event during the Christmas season where hundreds of people gather to witness the spectacle to welcome Christmas. The event is usually held on the first Saturday of December at 6:00 p.m. and once the tree lights are turned on, you can enjoy lively festive musical shows. Firefighters and policemen watch over the event for attendant’s safety. This is the kind of events that brings family together, so don’t miss it!

Snow in Miami!

If you’ve ever been to Miami you know how hot it can be… yes, even during the Christmas season! That’s why the world famous Coco Walk mall fills the whole area’s streets with artificial snow so children (and grownups) don’t lose the opportunity to live this magic experience. This happens the first three Saturdays of December so if you are in Miami with your kids during this period, bring them with you and teach how to make a huge snow man or have fun throwing snowballs at each other!! 

The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade

This tradition began 41 years ago and since then it is one of the most celebrated events in Miami. Held every December 15, this extraordinary boat parade stars at Stranahan House traveling East along the New River in Fort Lauderdale to the Intracoastal Waterway as it continues North to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. Boats are decorated with lights and parade throughout the coastal area. hundreds of thousands of lights, music, entertainment, decorations, celebrities, musical groups, beauty queens and many other exciting entries expected to be viewed by over one million spectators. Bear in mind that this event is held in Fort Lauderdale (north side of Miami) so a car rental Miami is the best option for transportation issues. 

Shop ‘till you drop
