Things to see in Adventuresome New Zealand

Things to see in adventuresome New Zealand!

The geographically isolated New Zealand has so much to offer to its visitor that will make him/her not repent a minute for his long and expensive trip to get there.

The country with a turbulent history, the distant Aotearoa, as it is called in the Maori language – the largest minority living there – has a great variety of natural beauty, such as steep mountains covered by low and dense clouds, huge lakes, whirling rivers and huge fjords. At the same time, the queen of New Zealand is none other than Elizabeth of England.

New Zealand consists of 2 large and many smaller islands in the southwest of the Pacific Ocean. And there, in addition to the grandeur of nature, you will have the opportunity to get to know the culture and life of the native Maori and also try new things and activities. All these blended with modern tourist facilities that satisfy all tastes and needs.

Here are ten areas in this diverse country with its wild and natural beauty, which deserve your attention:

1 Christchurch

Christchurch is the second-largest city in the country and is located on its southern island. Its shopping centre is continually evolving, while the city is considered an international centre of arts, entertainment and recreation, shopping and tourist facilities. All of these are essentially turning Christchurch into the cultural centre of New Zealand.

2 Auckland

The metropolis of Auckland is located in the north, one of the two largest islands that make up the country and is the most populous city, as it hosts 31% of the total population. Auckland has beautiful scenery, and a wealth of tourist attractions for visitors from all over the world and is considered one of the best cities to live in globally.

From the Auckland metropolis, you will be able to travel throughout the island, exploring and discovering all the national parks, forests and picturesque rural towns. How will you be able to do this, you wonder. The best solution for your transportation is to rent a car from Auckland Airport. Now with Enjoy Travel car rental in New Zealand will provide a solution to the real problem of your everyday travels, offering you dozens of car options and budget packages for your vacation. Pick up your car from the airport and embark on the journey of discovering this wonderful country.

3 Rotorua

Rotorua is one of the most touristic areas of the country and one of its largest lakes. But the Maori culture and generous mood are what attract most tourists to the site. The city is located in the heart of the North Island, 230 miles southeast of Auckland and is known for its geothermal activity and geysers.

4 Coromandel Peninsula

The beach of the Coromandel Peninsula is popular with local and foreign tourists, due to the hot springs that are responsible for the water that reaches up to 60 degrees Celsius. The springs are located under the sand and during periods of low tide, guests can dig in the sand and make their own personal thermal bath. Pretty neat, don’t you think?

5 The Fiordland National Park

Fiordland National Park, located in the southwestern part of the country, was founded in 1952 and today covers 12,000 square kilometres. In the park, you will find spectacular fjords formed by imposing volcanoes and the most famous fjord of all, the Milford Sound.

6 Queenstown

Queenstown is a tourist resort in the Otago area on the southwest side of the South Island of New Zealand. The resort is built at the entrance to Queenstown Bay, on Lake Wakatipu. The glaciers have taken care of the formation of the letter “Z” of the lake, while the view from the surrounding mountains is the least one can say, amazing. In Queenstown, most tourists enjoy activities such as bungee jumping and rafting.

7 The Gulf of the Islands

It is one of the must-see places (in the north of the north island of New Zealand) if you are making a long-lasting trip. It is a bay with 144 islands, hundreds of beaches, secluded coves and prolific marine life.

8 Aoraki / Mount Cook

Mount Cook, or Aoraki, is the highest peak in New Zealand and is part of the Southern Alps. It rises to 3,754 meters and is the only location in the country, whose name precedes the English translation of the Maori dialect. The mountain was 20 meters higher until 1991 when a large piece of rock and ice collapsed from its top.

9 The Westland Tai Poutini National Park

Westland Tai Poutini Park is located on the west coast of the South Island of the country and was founded in 1960. It covers an area of 1,175 square kilometres and the Franz Josef, and Fox Glaciers are two of the most famous tourist destinations. The park also offers many hunting activities, such as red deer hunting, chamois hunting and tahr hunting.

10 Tongariro National Park

New Zealand’s oldest national park and the fourth largest in the world, is located in the centre of the South Island. According to UNESCO, it is one of the 28 World Heritage Sites that combine natural with cultural wealth. The park has an area of 795.98 square kilometres and in its centre are three active volcanoes, Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro.
