The Trials and Tribulations of Tam’s 2022 Travels!

The trials and tribulations of Tam’s 2022 travels had better be over! This was the year to get back to “normal”, right? It has not worked out that way for me! I was supposed to go to the Maldives and Singapore in January and February with Ray of Hope Expeditions, doing citizen science with my friend Andrea Marshall, the Queen of Mantas. I was so excited! But then…Omicron. The Maldives shut down travel from Africa, and many of the group worried they could get stuck in the Maldives (I didn’t think that was so bad!), so the trip was canceled until 2023. Oh, no! Trials and Tribulations!

Then there was a trip I was taking to Key Largo to dive the Florida Keys! I hadn’t been there in quite a while, so I was looking forward to diving it. I went to Tiger Beach last October and had the pleasure of diving Palm Beach, so I was excited to go a little farther south. Sadly, I became ill, and my ear was closed for two weeks, which meant any diving was out of the question. So. More trials and tribulations.

Here I am, on the cusp of my next trip to Cozumel, Mexico….hoping that I will make it this time! I’ll be sure to let you know, so stay tuned to my blog and social media!
