Aspen, Colorado! How often I’ve heard of that small ski town. I’m finally going to see it next weekend. Randy and I are headed off for a week with friends, and hope to see the Aspen Trees turn gold.
We’ve planned a float trip, a backroads Jeep drive, dinner at Justice Snow…is there anything we are missing that is a “must do” for Aspen? It will be interesting to see a town where selling weed is legal. I’ve watched several shows about the dispensaries, now I will see for myself.
I bought a new GOPRO with an LCD on it for our float trip and the Jeep ride. I’m really quite excited about seeing the mountains! We are staying at the Ritz Carlton Club residences…and I look forward to reviewing it!
So, folks, what do we need to see and do? What restaurants do you recommend? I really want your advice!

Funny. I just bought a new GoPro!
Go to The Little Diner for breakfast or lunch some day. It gets long lines is season but they text you when your table is ready so you can just put your name in then wander around until they call you. Really good food and some of the best prices in town!

Enjoy the clean air, beautiful surroundings, and I’m sure, great food. I love Aspen !! I do hope you are able to see the trees start to turn. I also hope you get to sit in front of a large fireplace (the best kind), sipping a hot tot-ti.

Make sure you drive up to Maroon Bells. It was beautiful in June. I imagine it will be really pretty in the fall too. We were there a few years ago. I don’t remember where we ate, so our meals probably weren’t all that memorable. I do remember a conference dinner in the historic Jerome Hotel. I can’t vouch for the cuisine, but it certainly gets some marks for ambiance.
