Enchanted Places you Cannot Miss!
The world is filled with enchanted places– places that you not only see, but feel in your soul. In a world that’s overflowing with technology and responsibility, taking the time to visit these places is restorative and even life-changing.
When it comes to the world’s most beautiful landscapes, pictures don’t do them justice. You need to see them with your own eyes and feel them with your heart. Here are some of those destinations that you won’t want to miss.
Hyams Beach, Australia
There’s no other white sand beach in the world that compares to Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay, Australia. In fact, this expanse of sand holds the Guinness World Record for being the whitest of white sand beaches. This enchanted place is contrasted by the clear blue water of the Tasman Sea, making it feel as though you’re relaxing on a cloud with the endless sky surrounding you.
Fortunately, this beautiful beach is in the ideal location for a day trip from another beautiful Australian setting, Sydney. Set up camp in the nicest Sydney villa you can find, and venture out to the beach for some fun in the sun away from the hustle of the city.
Cabot Trail, Canada
The enchanting Cabot Trail is a 185-mile long winding trail through the highlands of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. Soaring views of rugged coastlines and beautiful forests make this a must-see destination. With lovely inns and fantastic beaches scattered along the way, the Cabot Trail is great for adventurers who want exploration with a side of small-town charm.
The best time to head to the Cabot Trail is during the autumn months, particularly in October. During this time of year, millions of leaves turn to shades of red, orange, and gold. At sunset, it sets the forest ablaze in an image even the most prolific of painters could never recreate! Talk about an enchanted place!
Machu Picchu, Peru
Thousands of years ago, the Incan people made their way up through the Andes mountains on foot. Their great city in the sky rested at the summit, 11,000 feet above sea level. That city stands there today, untouched by the ravages of time, sleeping among the clouds, and you can see it yourself. To do so, you’ll need to go on a journey into the jungle using planes, cars, trains, and buses to reach your final destination.
Alternatively, you can hike the Inca Trail to reach the summit. Even with a guide and hiking experience, the journey can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on your starting point. However, when you reach the summit you’ll see the landscape in a way that other travelers can’t begin to fathom.
Amazon Rainforest, Brazil
It’s no secret that deforestation is becoming a real problem and that the rainforests of the world are in trouble. The Amazon Rainforest covers over 2.7 million square miles, spanning over multiple South American countries, with 60% resting in Brazil. This incredibly biodiverse landscape is home to millions of living things, including billions of individual trees. The region plays a key role in climate control.
Exploring the Amazon Rainforest will give you a new appreciation for the natural world, showing you creatures that you have only seen on nature documentaries. Even the most experienced travelers should work with a recommended guide provider. Not only will this improve the safety of your exploration, but it will also help you see things that you may not otherwise notice.
Where to Next?
The list of otherworldly landscapes could go on and on. Unfortunately, there are too many places and not enough time for most travelers to see them all. I’m sure there are enchanted places near you, so find the magical places in your own backyard and build your list from there!
