Wild and Amazing Travel Photos from 2017! In January 2017 I journeyed to Antarctica and Argentina with my friend Annie. We met on a citizen science trip and decided to go see the White Continent, and while we were at it, Argentina.
- Going to Antarctica was an incredible experience. I expected horrible cold, dark skies, and nothing but snow and rock. Boy, was I wrong!
2. Argentina was also a wonderful surprise. Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan, beautiful city. I also had a chance to see a ranch, and ride a horse with an Argentinian saddle. It was a fantastic experience. As a vegetarian, it was very difficult to convince them that I really did not need to eat meat. Argentina is proud of their first rate beef reputation and their BBQ. I’ve never seen so many steakhouses. Annie and I stayed 4 nights at the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt, and 4 nights at the Four Seasons. We were truly in the lap of luxury.

Great photos, but I much preferred the Buenos Aires shots as opposed to the ice and snow. Although I loved the shot of the penguins on the beach! I’d love to stay at Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt and the Four Seasons in Argentina. On my bucket list!

Not a whole lot in Antarctica but ice, snow, penguins, whales and seals! Glad you enjoyed it, and those two hotels are fabulous!
Wow, two destinations that are night and day! I can’t believe you had a chance to go to Antarctica. Amazing shots and so many cute penguins. But I am in winter cold now so may opt for Argentina first lol.
Antarctica was so exciting, and not that cold when with the sun out 24 hours! Argentina was great too. We boarded the Lindblad Natgeo ship in Argentina, so we thought, let’s check them both out.
Wonderful photos. I don’t know if I like the wildlife or icebergs best!
