The Dallas Arboretum’s 12 Days of Christmas is a MUST SEE!. It is absolutely fabulous! Reliant’s one million lights make the Dallas Arboretum magical this year!

The Dallas Arboretum is the place to be for Christmas lights and decorations this year! Everyone in the family will love the lights, and the 12 huge displays of each of the 12 Days of Christmas! The Arboretum is a must see this holiday season!

The United States doesn’t celebrate all 12 Days of Christmas, though many countries do. The 12 Days of Christmas in Christian tradition are the days between the birth of Jesus and the coming of the Three Wise Men. These dates are December 25, Christmas Day, through January 6, the Epiphany, or Three Wise Men. The song, published in England in 1780 without music as a chant or rhyme, is thought to be French in origin. The grand gifts are shown to perfection at the Dallas Arboretum’s 12 Days of Christmas in musical, animated 25 foot display cases. My daughter and I loved walking through the exhibits, hearing the children shout with excitement, and photographing each day of Christmas!

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Two Turtle Doves.

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Three French Hens.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Four Calling Birds. (Actually, they were “Colly Birds”. Colly is a word for “black” from the word Coal. So the birds were actually Blackbirds!)

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, 5 Golden Rings.

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Six Geese a Laying.

On the Seventh Day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Seven Swans a Swimming!
