More Vicarious Scuba Diving in Raja Ampat with Travels with Tam. Enduring the state of the world and coronavirus isn’t easy right now, so come and enjoy vicarious scuba diving with me!

scuba diving, raja ampat, travels with tam — I love and am fascinated by feather stars. Feather stars are in the crinoid family, and instead of being attached to the reef, they are free-floating. They are so incredibly beautiful! They float, attach themselves to fans and to coral, while feeding on small food particles in the water.

scuba diving, raja ampat, travels with tam — Not sure if this is a Wunderpus or a Mimic Octopus, but it is eating a Scorpionfish, which can be seen on the left side of the photo, in the middle. It’s very well camouflaged, but you can see it between the arms.

scuba diving, raja ampat, travels with tam — Blue and Green Chromis are gorgeous small coral dwellers.

scuba diving, raja ampat, travels with tam — I think the Fimbriated Eel is one of the most beautiful in the eel family. I love this photo, what a great view of its teeth! I hate to disappoint, but this eel is simply breathing, and I got the photo when she had her mouth open.

Very fantastic photos. Really appreciated. I have a wish that one day I want to do a scuba diving alone. But right now I can’t.
