JELLYSTONE PARKS OFFER WEEKENDS WITH FALL AND PRE-HALLOWEEN FUN!
The busiest time of year at many Jellystone Park locations begins now and runs through October. That’s when the Yogi Bear-themed parks offer a variety of fall and pre-Halloween activities from making caramel apples and scarecrows to costume, campsite, and pumpkin-decorating contests to trick-or-treating. Some locations even offer zombie hunts, haunted houses, or haunted trails.

“Specific activities vary by location, but all of our franchisees offer families unique activities to help them create memories they will always cherish,” said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Leisure Systems, Inc., which franchises over 75 Jellystone Park locations.
Here is a sampling of the upcoming Halloween activities at Jellystone Park locations across the country:
— Asheboro, North Carolina: This park offers four Halloween-themed activities beginning the second weekend in October. Activities vary by weekend and include carnival games, a search for the golden pumpkin, a campsite decorating contest, a costume parade, and a dance party.

— Big Prairie, Ohio: This park’s fall activities include its annual Apple Dumpling Festival September 24-26. A family tradition for over 50 years, the festival will include local crafters, make-and-take crafts, an outdoor kitchen, homemade apple dumplings, live music, fireworks, and an eight-acre corn maze. More fall activities will be provided the first weekend in October, including an animal petting zoo, line dancing, a straw bale toss, and other farm activities along with the corn maze. — Bloomington, Indiana: This park will kick off the season with a fall art festival on the weekend of September 11-12 in which local artisans will bring their creations and demonstrate how they make them. Craft activities will also be offered, including wood burning and candle making. Guests will also be able to enjoy live music while they make apple pies over the fire pit. The last weekend of September will feature a scarecrow decorating contest and a magic pumpkin patch, while every weekend in October provides Halloween-themed activities, including a haunted trail, campsite and costume contests and trick-or-treating. https://lakemonroejellystone.com/
— Burleson, Texas: This park offers both fall-themed and spooky Halloween activities every weekend from September 24th through October 31st. Activities include Halloween and fall-themed crafts, pumpkin painting contests, scarecrow decorating contests, campsite decorating contests, costume fashion shows, trick-or-treating, and “Moonlight Madness Glow Parades.” The little ones will also enjoy the magic pumpkin patch while older kids and adults can experience the “Lost Maze” for nighttime fun and scares. Fall activities continue each weekend in November with Thanksgiving-themed activities, including Thanksgiving feast scavenger hunts, “stuff the turkey” contests and turkey baster relays. — Caledonia, Wisconsin: This park offers five Halloween-themed weekends beginning September 10. Activities vary by weekend and include planting magic pumpkin seeds, making caramel apples, and pumpkin painting as well as Halloween-themed scavenger hunts, a haunted trail, and a spooky movie at the outdoor theater. — Harrisville, Pennsylvania: This park has a variety of scary activities with two zombie-themed weekends on September 11-12 and 17-19 with zombie face painting and “Zombie Body Part Scavenger Hunts” and “Humans-versus-Zombies” laser tag and “Zombie Brain Relay Races.” The park will also offer Halloween-themed weekends beginning the last weekend of September and running through October. Activities will include 3D pumpkin patch crafts, pumpkin painting, bowling with pumpkins, and “Great Pumpkin Races.” The park will also offer “pumpkin chunking” events in which guests can launch mini pumpkins at targets with a giant slingshot. — Larkspur, Colorado: The first weekend in October at this location will have a fall theme with pumpkins, live music, food trucks and fall activities. The last four weekends of October will have a Halloween theme with bicycle, golf cart, and campsite decorating contests. There will also be costume contests with multiple categories, including a best family/group theme and best costume for adults, teens, children, and pets. There will also be a magic pumpkin patch and Halloween-themed crafts.

— Uniontown, Ohio: This park will ease into fall activities the first weekend of October with its “Fall Flannel Fling Weekend.” Guests are encouraged to wear their coziest flannel PJs and their warmest hats.
