Are You Ready to hit your bucket list after you are Vaccinated for Covid? I have booked three major “bucket list” dream destinations!
Hit your bucket list! I have received both Pfizer vaccinations, and so has my family. It is such a relief to be able to see vaccinated friends and family! A year of being quarantined has had its effect on us all. We have a new appreciation for the simple things in life, like sitting with a friend or having dinner together. I have missed seeing people and spending time with those who mean so much to me. I’m also ready to get back into the world, masked and “vacced”.
No one can ever count on endless good health and fitness, and I have learned my lesson that life can throw you off balance. My husband’s double lung transplant (I wrote about the experience while it happened) completely changed our lives. The plans we had were no longer possible, so we had to change them. So if you have things you want to do, I recommend you make plans to do them as soon as possible. Within reason, of course.

Tiger Beach, Bahamas
My first bucket list item is diving with Tiger Sharks and Great Hammerheads. I am terrified of Tigers, so I am going to the famous Tiger Beach in the Bahamas with Jim Abernathy in October. It is the season for Tigers and Hammerheads. Hopefully, I will get some decent photos, my hands might be shaking the first couple of dives!
Maldives
My next bucket list trip is the Maldives. I’m going with Marine Megafauna Foundation‘s trip with Dr. Andrea Marshall aka Queen of Mantas, and Dr. Simon Pierce, a whale shark scientist. It is a scientific expedition and yes, we’ll be looking for mantas and whale sharks to photograph and observe. I’m sure there will be sharks and other exciting marine animals! I love the scientific expeditions I go on where I serve as a citizen scientist. Anything I can contribute is worthwhile, it is also great fun to be with your tribe.
Tonga
Tonga! Tonga is in the South Pacific, south of Western Samoa. This archipelago is made up of 176 islands and only 36 are inhabited. The islands are divided into three groups: Vava’u, Ha’apai and Tongatapu. I am headed to Vava’u to swim with Humpback Whales and their calves. I’ve seen Humpback Whales, I’ve even seen them fairly close, I have even heard their songs underwater, but I’ve never been close to them in the water. My chance will come in October of 2022 when I head to Tonga with Nadia Aly. I’m so excited to see these amazing animals up close.
Of course, I have more dream destinations, but these are the ones I have actually booked. So, what are you waiting for? Hit your bucket list! What are your bucket dream destinations?
