(Georgetown, Texas) The city of Georgetown, Texas will host a variety of Halloween events in October including historic ghost tours, a scream-worthy haunted house and trick-or-treating around the “Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas.”
Georgetown Halloween Events
On October 11-12 and 25-26, the Williamson Museum hosts Ghost Tours on the Square. Tour times are 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. Later tours are scarier than those held earlier in the evening. Purchase tickets at the Williamson Museum or by phone at 512-943-1670. Tickets are $20 for non-museum members and $15 for members and students. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the weekends of October 18 and 25, Nightmare on Jail Hill Haunted Housetakes place at the Historic Williamson County Jail. This rumored haunted jailhouse, which held prisoners from 1889 through 1990, has been featured on the popular show “Ghost Hunters.” Fast Pass tickets are $25, adult tickets are $15 and child tickets are $5 (ages 8-12). All proceeds benefit the Brown Santa program. *The historic jail is not handicap accessible. Tickets can be purchased here.
On October 27, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., trick-or-treaters can get a head start on their candy stashes at the 9th AnnualBoo Bash, hosted by The Downtown Georgetown Association.
