I LOVE England. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I am a true Anglophile, especially when it comes to British history. I’ve been to England several times, and I certainly plan to go back again and again! We spent two weeks roaming the English countryside while my daughter was doing her study abroad in London. My son and I were alone in Bath together and hired a British historian so I could actually talk to someone about what we were seeing! As you can see, the weather was a bit foreboding, but it added to the atmosphere of the place. And yes, I know it is Jane Austen’s hometown, but I was more interested in the Roman history. Ah, I want to go back. Enjoy!

How interesting that is….the parallel lines in our lives. My son is working in England now. He went over on an internship and ended up working for the company that offered that internship. So I go often to see him and I LOVE it there also. I was in Bath and loved it too.
He lives in Greenwich area of London and when I am there I feel very at home. It is a small town in a big city. Wonderful.
We lived in Ascot when the boys were small for two years and we loved it there too. Too suburban for my city boy though. We still have friends there.
I also loved to go to Stonehenge and visited multiple times when friends would visit from Canada. So I know what you love about it!

I have never had the thrill of living there, but I would grab at any opportunity to do so! Lucky, lucky you!

Yes! My husband and I loved Bath too! Such a lovely small city and such interesting history too. Really understood at how much the Roman’s like to stay clean! Did you get to Glastonbury and Stonehenge? Very interesting sites and very close too. Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories!

Your pix brought back wonderful memories. And what a cutie your son is! Ok, handsome, then, I know he’s not a kid. I just saw the movie Belle, set in England in the late 1700s early 1800s and I highly recommend it to any Anglophile.
