I love making movies, books, working on photos….and I especially love making my family memory books. This year, I will be making a book for my children (they probably don’t read this so I think I am safe) about our Christmas ornaments. It occurred to me that I am the only one with the knowledge of where these precious ornaments came from! So, I want to pass it down! Here are some of the items that are going in the book:
How do you keep the memory of your holiday ornaments alive?

I too have a Christmas Tree full of memories. There are the ones that were gifts, ones from places we have visited as well as those inherited. Christmas decorating is not just festive, this way it is a walk down memory lane. (I loved your flag ornaments, especially as I see my own heritage, British and Irish, there!)

Christmas is wonderful everywhere…but home is something special.

I loved visiting with you! Since I don’t celebrate Christmas I have always longed for having keepsakes like this and decorating a tree for myself. I loved this, and if I lived near you I’d probably sleep under your tree for 12 days. Keeping everyone with alive, all the memories. Oh, this was so very special. Thanks for taking me along for the ride. You are truly blessed.

I love these pictures and the backstory of the different ornaments. What a rich history! And, as someone who celebrates Chanukah, not Christmas, I totally love that menorah!

I came to the same realization last year – that I am the only one who knows the significance of all of our ornaments! You have a really lovely and meaningful collection.

Making movies and memories! Now that’s a great way to live. I love Christmas and decorating too, but I love the memorable moments made with my family most of all.

I can tell from these photos how warm and inviting your house is. What wonderful memories you have collected. Is it OK if I drop by for a glass of wine?
Tam Warner
Absolutely. We have a cellar waiting for you!
