My second dive trip was also fantastic. Out with We-B-Divin’ once again, and this time, we went to Yucab and Paradise Reefs. The “usual” dive trip is a 2 tank dive, meaning 2 dives with lunch in between. These two sites were so perfect, each dive was over 60 minutes!

Those are such beautiful photos Tam! I told my husband he should go there. That must be the best place ever for diving. Of all the places you have been, where has been the best?
It all depends on the type of diving you want to do! Cozumel, for me, is pretty easygoing diving, great visibility, moderate to light currents, colorful coral and fishes. if you want BIG pelagics (mantas, whale sharks and sharks and dolphins, whales etc) I fell in love with the Socorro Islands south of Cabo San Lucas. Those dives were really exciting, lots of life, strong currents, and a lot of the diving is in the “blue”, meaning there is nothing but blue ocean as far as you can see. It can be a little disorienting, but when you have a manta ray to play with, who cares? lol. The Soccoros are challenging (sometimes) to dive. Thailand was colorful with tons and tons of macro life, meaning little tiny things like nudibranchs, crabs, shrimps, sea horses, and beautiful corals. Thailand was challenging to dive, with some spots being pretty easy going. Of course, if you want the adrenaline dive, do the Great White Sharks at Guadalupe Island!
I just LOVE looking at these photos! I can’t decide which are my favorites! The Trunkfish, the Scrawled Filefish… what? I have never heard of these! How do you know which is which?I can live vicariously through you!
Suzanne Stavert recently posted…Our heavenly food tour in Amsterdam by bicycle!
I have to know the names of what I am photographing! I have books identifying coral, fish and reef creatures, and on the rare occasion I see something I don’t know, I get excited and go on a research holiday! Aren’t they just awe inspiring? The color, the geometric patterns….the actions…I love love love it!
