Tapas Tandoori and Thai? Yum!
Although museums and ancient historical sites hold enormous importance for the cultured traveler, there’s nothing quite like the appeal of food and drink when traveling to a new place. Practically every culture on Earth has a unique take on what it eats, born of the crops that grow in the local area, customs, and religion.
Ever since I saw @cowtippingcreamery open in Plano over two years ago, I knew we’d have a lovely relationship. Their soft serve creations are among some of my favorites!! Their menu has been carefully put together with the right ingredients in every concoction on their menu and if that just isn’t enough for you, you can make your own! I especially love their weekly rotating specials. I look forward to working my way through their menu! Pictured here are solid menu items and a specialty! And there are two locations in the Dallas area, one in Carrollton and one in Frisco! I can guarantee a love affair with Cow Tipping Creamery!

The holidays are a magical time of year, and time to hit Deck the Hall Street! ✨ I adore the festivity and decor of the season! To me, December 1st officially kicks off the season so to get in the spirit, I hit up #deckthehallstreet at @fictioncoffeeshop ! For a month, Fiction Coffee transforms itself into a festive and cheerful Christmas themed wonderland with wreaths, lights, a tree and a fireplace with stockings. 🎄❄️⛄️ To boot, a custom mural painted by @allikdesign adorns the side of the building and festive coffee mugs in the shapes of Santa, reindeer and snowmen abound for customers dining in to enjoy their hot beverages. I enjoy the Fa La La Latte with cinnamon and lavender. There are other drinks cooked with a simple espresso machine like Peppermint Dreams and O Christmas Tea. There are also coffee free drinks like White Christmas Wassail and HoHoHot Cocoa!
I also have to point out that I will no longer be eating croissants. I’ve discovered Kouign amann and I’m never going back. It’s similar to a croissant but has a caramelized sugar bottom. The layers are flaky, buttery and sugary… a phenomenal combo with the crunch on the bottom. I can not recommend this pasty enough!! A++ for the Kouign amann!
Be sure to go visit this adorable shop for coffee and pastry (and @tacodeli tacos should you want a taco!) Dress warm if it’s cold out and grab a photo of your adorable holiday mug and the mural! It’ll be a new holiday tradition as it has become one for me!

I absolutely adore tea time, and with a group of friends I’ve found through the world of food blogging, I’ve had the opportunity to explore a number of teas in the Dallas area. The latest restaurant we hit was the new @edithsfrrenchbistro in Plano. They just introduced their High Tea which is served from 2p-5p on Saturdays and Sundays! Be sure to book a reservation, it gets crowded. [Read more…] about Sweet Sweet Dallas visits Edith’s French Bistro in Plano, Texas!
