Misool Island continued to be good to us, and there was beautiful diving on day 5. It was a short dive day, so the dive had to be good! We went to Watch Towers, and enjoyed a great variety of fish and coral! And I saw my first Woebeggone Shark, so exciting! Enjoy!
Diving is sometimes similar to a Dr Seuss book.

Well, you see her belly, the big yellow belly sticking out? She looks like she has a baby in there! After the dive I asked Andrea (the scientist on the trip) and she said yes, preggers! She is a shark and ray expert. I’ve seen a lot of pregnant animals down below! Did you know that some sharks have two fetuses, and the one who eats the other one is the winner?

Those colors are so vibrant! I’ve never gotten down deep enough to see them like that! What an amazing world exists under the water.

Hi Tam,
Wow, this place looks incredible. I’ve gone diving once and wasn’t super impressed with the area but I would love to try again in a place like Misool island. I’ve also never ever heard of a woebegone Shark. What a beautiful creature! Thanks for the inspiration.
Cheers,
Tam Warner
Raja Ampat is amazingly beautiful! Starting in Cozumel is a great idea, the diving is easier and there are many instructors!

Tam – Some of these photos look like they could be out of a Dr. Seuss book. You hit it with that. I envy you for being able to dive in these awesome waters! Love the photos.
