Check out the Discovery of Amazing Tiny Critters on the Reefs of Cozumel! I was recently there for just a week (though it was supposed to be three weeks) and I was only able to dive three times, but they were pretty awesome dives! I saw amazing tiny critters and fish that I hadn’t seen in Cozumel before. Of course, I saw much that I always see, but I’m always excited to dive. Take a look at my most recent photos!

I was able to get close enough to a pair of mating squids to grab this photo! I love squid, and it is always an exciting dive when you see them.
Have you ever seen a Slate Pencil Urchin? They hide very well in coral!
Christmas Tree Worms are tiny critters I always love to see.
This tiny fish in a finger sponge caught my attention, it’s a Saddled Blenny. Super tiny!
These Brown Zoanthids look like flowers, but they are a colony of animals.
This is a tiny Yellowhead Wrasse baby!
A baby Dusky Damselfish is so colorful and so tiny! I found this on a shore dive in front of my house, Villa Coronado!
A Banded Coral Shrimp
This little beauty is a baby Blue Lipped Parrotfish! I’d never seen one before.
Small Goldentail Eel
I took several shots of this adorable, friendly Porcupine Pufferfish!

A Queen Angelfish baby is always a great find! Look at those colors!
The colors and markings of a Queen Angel are just incredible!
A teenage French Angelfish and it’s tiny cleaner, the baby Bluehead Wrasse.

Here’s a new sighting for me, a Star Horseshoe Worm! Isn’t it pretty?

A Mantis Shrimp! It must be a baby, it was so small I didn’t know what it was until I saw my photos!

Thorny Mud Crabs are about a quarter of an inch in size! They are so colorful.
This tiny guy is a an Antilles Sponge Crab.
The tiniest social feather dusters ever!

So, even though my trip was cut short due to my husband’s fall, I still enjoyed a few dives and some cool critters!
