You Must Head to The Star in Frisco Texas to try Zaytinya Happy Hour!

You Must Head to The Star in Frisco to try Zaytinya Happy Hour! When I walked into Zaytinya’s, I felt as though I had been transported to a cool, calm and peaceful place. I am a sucker for a beautiful restaurant interior and Zaytinya delivered without exception. The selected materials, colors and the way the light floods into the space is stunning! Although I focus primarily on photographing food, I also love combining the restaurant space as well if it all fits together. Combining spaces and the food in them is probably my favorite subject to capture with my lens!

Read about fabulous Zaytinya’s history: “Under the direction of celebrated Chef José Andrés and his ThinkFoodGroup team, Zaytinya offers an innovative mezze menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines served up in a sleek and modern setting. Building on José’s deep knowledge of Mediterranean cooking and years of research and travel, the menu features shared small plates of authentic and innovative fare, creative cocktails, and unique Mediterranean wines, making Zaytinya one of the most exciting restaurants in Washington. Since opening in 2002, Zaytinya ranks consistently as a top DC dining destination, and was awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2017 and 2018 Michelin Guide to Washington, DC. In 2018, Zaytinya’s second location opened at The Star in Frisco, TX.” Yes, it did, and I love it!

Zaytinya Happy Hour!

Zaytinya Happy Hour

In addition to a great menu, Zaytinya Happy Hour, Mezze Óra (social hour) is the place to be. Happy Hour is 5-7 PM in Frisco for a specially-priced menu offering a selection of cocktails for $7, wines by the glass for $6 and beer for $5 in addition to an array of savory bites perfect for sharing. The bar itself is pretty spectacular located near the entrance of the restaurant. My recommendations include Hommus Bil Zhoug (puree of chickpeas with tahini and lemon, spicy jalapeño zhoug, crispy chickpeas and micro cilantro) and the AMAZING Fried Lemon Chicken (crispy Baharat spiced boneless chicken thigh, lemon salt, cucumber tzatziki) The restaurant has a variety of cocktail options as well as fresh juice options for those who aren’t looking for alcoholic beverages. Zaytinya is a tasty eatery and I look forward to returning! Hope to see you at Zaytinya Happy Hour!
