The Star of this week’s Fabulous Photos Friday is Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA

Carmel-by-the-Sea is one of the most beautiful towns in the country, hands down, no question. I absolutely love Northern California, and Monterey, Carmel, and San Francisco are some of my favorite places on earth. The area is stunning and filled with life. Randy and I stayed in a cottage near the Carmel River State Park and Carmel Beach, with a view of Mission Ranch through the wetlands a few years back, and every day was a revelation of beauty, color, and change. I am ready to go back!

The beach at the end of our street in Carmel by the Sea, just a short stroll.

It was October and the plants were still colorful.
What is more beautiful than waves coming to shore? Can you believe the colors???
So beautiful.
Check out this gorgeous blue sky!
There were many birds
A beach walk takes you to the town area which is so quaint and just behind these houses.
The neighborhood down the beach.
Carmel River State Park was just a block away…on one side ocean beach, on the other side, Carmel River Wetlands.
Sea Kelp is so big with a thick skin…it fascinates me.
Kelp tube.
Kelp grows a foot a day! It washes up in huge piles.
Mission Ranch is just across the wetlands from where we stayed.
Mission Ranch at the River on a somewhat cloudy day.
I saw this dad and daughter playing on the beach and could not resist taking a photo.
Pelicans!
I loved walking out to the point and clambering on the rocks. A great place to sit, look, listen and explore.
At the point.
Sitting on the rocks
The point is quite rocky
Who doesn’t love tidal pools, especially with anemones?
Anemones and a limpet. Somehow I cannot believe anyone living there could possibly take the views for granted. It changes every day!
