Texas Hill Country is an Amazing Destination!

KAHALA SUNSET LODGE SPICEWOOD, TEXAS, in The Hill Country

Beautiful Kahala Sunset Lodge is on Lake Travis in the Texas Hill Country!

You may already know how much I love Texas Hill Country! The Hill Country is truly an amazing destination. I’ve been to the Hill Country several times, but I am eager to keep going and to see and explore more of it! These photos are from my latest trip, a lovely week we spent in Spicewood, Texas, on Lake Travis! We stayed at Kahala Sunset Lodge, and I very highly recommend it! You can find the Kahala Sunset Lodge in Spicewood at VRBO, or HomeAway!

Beautiful pool overlooks the lake.
This covered patio was perfect! Built for grilling, sitting, looking, and talking, it is the best spot at the house.

Where is the Hill Country? Check out this Texas Hill Country Map! Nature is the main draw as far as I am concerned! Rivers, lakes, hills, cliffs….and the visitors to Kahala Sunset Lodge and the surrounding golf course were fantastic! We are an animal loving family, and there are so many deer!

When visiting the Hill Country, especially Spicewood, a trip to  Krause Springs (pronounced Krausey Springs) is a must. The 115 acre property is listed on the National Registry of Historical Sites and is privately owned by the Krause Family. It’s a famous Hill Country Swimming Hole and camping destination. Getting into the water was kind of interesting….I fell in, of course! My family loved our visit.

Deer everywhere! We loved it!

We were out every night looking for deer, so we saw every sunset. Texas Hill Country sunsets are absolutely gorgeous and well worth waiting for!

Every night was an incredible sunset.

Gorgeous!
