Sweet Sweet Dallas visits Edith’s French Bistro in Plano, Texas!
by Alexandra Minton
I absolutely adore tea time, and with a group of friends I’ve found through the world of food blogging, I’ve had the opportunity to explore a number of teas in the Dallas area. The latest restaurant we hit was the new @edithsfrrenchbistro in Plano. They just introduced their High Tea which is served from 2p-5p on Saturdays and Sundays! Be sure to book a reservation, it gets crowded.
The ambiance, scones, and desserts were absolutely terrific. I’d expect nothing less from a french bistro! I tried the green, white, and apple spice teas, all of which were excellent. I recommend drinking the tea toward the beginning of tea time as tea becomes more bitter as time goes on. The sandwiches were really good as well, my favorite was the ham and cheese.
Since it is so new there are still some minor kinks to be worked out, like timing so expect to spend a couple of hours there. The tea also served as a surprise baby shower for @kawaiidfw and I, as we are both expecting baby boys early next year! It was so sweet of our friends to do a shower, and Edith’s even extended us both a beautiful plate with delicious Opera Cake!
Thanks to Edith’s French Bistro for hosting and to @chompdallas, @catchows, @still-hungry-dallas and @grecienne for the lovely surprise shower!
