Carmel-by-the-Sea is one of the most beautiful towns in the country. Randy and I stayed in a cottage near the Carmel River State Park and Carmel Beach, with a view of Mission Ranch through the wetlands. Every day was stunning, I will let you judge for yourself!
The beach at the end of our street in Carmel by the Sea.
It was October and the plants were still colorful.
What is more beautiful than waves coming to shore?
Check out this gorgeous blue sky!
There were many birds
A beach walk takes you to the town area which is so quaint and just behind these houses.
The neighborhood down the beach.
Carmel River State Park was just a block away…on one side ocean beach, on the other side, Carmel River Wetlands.
Sea Kelp is so big with a thick skin…it fascinates me.
Kelp grows a foot a day! It washes up in huge piles.
Mission Ranch is just across the wetlands from where we stayed.

I saw this dad and daughter playing on the beach and could not resist taking a photo.
I loved walking out to the point and clambering on the rocks. A great place to sit, look, listen and explore.
At the point.

The point is quite rocky
Who doesn’t love tidal pools, especially with anemones?
Anemones and a limpet. Somehow I cannot believe anyone living there could possibly take the views for granted. It changes every day!
